AMT 147 is an FAA approved program. Now and in the future, aircraft maintenance will continue to change. New designs and materials in aircraft construction and the interface between complex space-age systems, such as navigational aides, fly-by-wire, flight controls and electronic fuel controls, as well as the improvements in the time proven systems such as hydraulics and propellers continue to add to the mysticism of flight.
FAA regulation, 14 CFR Part 147, establishes education and skill requirements that must be met prior to testing for General, Airframe, and Powerplant certification.
