Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990

Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504, Title I ensures that any employees or applicants for employment that are believed to have a disability have the opportunity to request any reasonable accommodation they may need.

Title III ensures that any students or applicants for enrollment that are believed to have a disability have the opportunity to request any reasonable accommodation they may need.

North Central Institute does not discriminate against an individual based on disability for neither employment nor enrollment.

Overview
Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, a person with a disability is one who:
has a physical or mental impairment, limiting or restricting one or more major life activities
has a history or record of said impairment
has a perception of having an impairment
examples of major life activities include, but are not limited to, eating, drinking, sleeping, walking, concentrating, seeing, hearing, reading, communicating, and learning.

Reasonable accommodations inquiry
Title I of the ADA requires that reasonable accommodations be provided by employers to employees or employment applicants qualified with a disability.
