During his 30 years of service, Robert Huffman, a retired Chief Warrant Officer 5, has seen and done many things in the Fort Campbell aviation community.

Though his days of active duty service are over, his ties to the aviation brigades remain strong. As a civilian, he continues to serve the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade and 101st CAB through the Screaming Eagle Aviation Association – a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of aviation Soldiers and Families, past and present.

Huffman founded the organization in 2012, along with two co-chairs – retired Brig. Gen. William H. Forrester, former commander of the 159th CAB, and retired Col. Greg Gass, former commander of the 101st CAB.

“We took a look at what was going on with the Night Stalker Association across post and decided that we needed to start something for our aviation units that is similar so we can continue support,” said Huffman.

Currently, the primary focus of the SEAA is to get approval and secure funding for a five-acre memorial park to honor the fallen Soldiers of the 101st and 159th.
